It’s sort of like, well, if that’s what Dr. So and So does, it must be right.” The experts that study nutrition, no matter what their background otherwise, have a better chance at catching the simplicity of what’s good and what’s right for most of us. We are all 99.9% the same. However, due to our bio-individuality we can differ in several respects. We have the same body parts but not all have the same mind-state, mood, relationships and habits, each of which can bring different outcomes. I am reminded of the great master, Bruce Lee, “…absorb what is useful, discard what is useless, and add what is uniquely your own…”
Interestingly, there is a book coming out in February 2013 entitled, What Doctors Eat. It’s a diet, weight loss book. I am reminded that one of my friends who did go to medical school got so sick he had to drop out. Why? As an intern, doctors and most hospital staff eat very poorly. It’s 12 hour shifts with lots of greasy pizza, burgers, convenience food, Mars bars, etc. So just be careful which doctors you follow. Find a doctor or Health Coach that walks the talk.
