I suffered from hay fever annually and had the average amount of cavities from being raised on a lot of sugar. One advantage I had was that I lived in 3rd world countries for more than two decades. We shopped at open air markets where local villagers brought their product. We didn’t have the luxury of air-conditioned supermarkets and a lot of processed food. However, we had to work very hard to maintain health due to lack of clean drinking water and other common daily battles with the natural elements. We were not in the habit of “going to the doctors” for every little thing and we managed to stay pretty healthy. The ravages of the sugar habit took it’s toll and upon returning to the States, I was diagnosed with very high risk factors for heart disease. It takes a little education and a commitment to a set daily regimen. It’s making it a goal to win against heart disease. It makes sense to do what works, especially since it’s cost effective and easy. My initial revelation was the power of Omega-3 fish oil. It touches six major systems in the body and not only is heart health one of the major benefits of getting on a daily regimen of fish oil but it helps with joint health, brain health, immunity and even can help a person to lose weight.
Omega-3 Fish Oil Lowers Cholesterol and Triglycerides
In three months, from June 2005 to September 2005 I dropped over 300 points of triglycerides simply by taking a daily dose of fish oil. The foremost expert in the biochemcial sciences whose done decades of research is Dr. Barry Sears. There are many Youtube videos you can watch for free and he has written many books that describe the exacting science behind the need to take it twice daily (morning and evening.) I recommend you read anything and everything from Dr. Barry Sears. In 2006, I was at a health conference and there was on stage, a panel of experts from many health fields. The initial questioned posed to the panel: “If a person were to make one change in his or her health regimen what would it be.” All the experts agreed that the first thing to do would be to start a regimen of Omega-3s daily. I can attest, this is the place to begin. Age doesn’t matter, it’s a significant to infants as it is to octogenarians.
Most well-known for it’s ability to mitigate and help reverse the ravages of cardiovascular disease, the base molecules of Omega-3 Fish Oil also stimulate brain health, certainly aids in immune function, helps joints to work better and with less pain, and can even help a person to lose some weight! How can that be true? Healthy fats if consumed regularly will enable you to eat less carbs without feeling famished. Carbs actually make you feel more hungry and stimulates cravings. Processed foods are now in the business of creating addictive foods with their use of salt and sugar. It’s a long story but it’s true.
