Whatever cholesterol your liver is producing is the amount that your body needs and when you artificially lower your cholesterol, you also lower your Co-enzyme Q10 levels and increase risk to your heart health manifold. Better to take a remedial course of Omega-3s and enjoy a natural way to modulate the fats in your blood with this naturally occurring super food.

The real truth about statins is that the methodology of statins was known to the Chinese thousands of years ago and if you want a natural statin, just buy red yeast rice and you can lower your cholesterol if you really think that would help. In epidemiological studies only a cholesterol level of 250 mg/dl or higher had any statistical significance of increased risk. This idea of lowering cholesterol through drugs, which caused harm to muscle tissue and liver tissue, is rather lame when the same can be accomplished by modifying the diet.

In America, the ratio averages 15.7 to 1 in favor of Omega-6 fats to Omega-3s. Of course, changing the diet is important but the way to jump-start the process is to ingest more Omega-3s!

Joint Health: Arthritic conditions are basically a reaction to the same conditions as cause problems in the cardiovascular system; A highly acidic environment that produces stiffness in the joints. The DHA component happens to be the material needed for maintenance of the cells in the retina of the eye and also composes about 40% of brain cells. Now do you see why it’s an important super food that our bodies do not manufacture internally but must be ingested?
