It will come as no surprise that there are many thousands of processes happening simultaneously right now in your body that combine to give you a sense of wellness and optimal health. But if we were to use different angles to see what health is really comprised of, we could do it in this manner:

1. Mind State: You are what you think. In the book Cure, authored by Jo Marchand, she cites, interviews and deduces specifically and scientifically that the mind has a lot of power over the body to invoke not only sickness through negative energy, but also abundant health through thinking and using the power of the mind to enhance one’s health.

2. Exercise: Waking hours are for movement. Being chained to a desk and a computer is now called the new smoking. It kills. It saps. It hinders. I bought a watch for $69 that reminds me when I have been sitting too long and it also measures my steps. Good accountability tool. Exercise need not be hard. Do a 10 minute walk 3 or 4 days a day. Go on, you can do it. You are allowed to have a break every so often to go look at trees and see some grass.

3. Diet: You are what you eat. If you eat too much of anything its not good. Too much sugar, too much processed foods. It’s okay to eat as much veggies but limit fruit because of sugar content. Regulate sugar in other words stop eating it. That goes for potatoes, rice,pasta for the most part. If you have a lot of weight to lose you have to go off sugar entirely until you are at a proper weight. Your body has plenty of energy stores and you need to use of some of those in order to get into a good health pattern. Supplements are shortcuts to help us. I use Omega-3, Berberine, Ubiquinol and a heart multi vitamin everyday.
4. Sleep: Many people miss this 4th pillar. Sleep is for reconstituting and healing. If you have trouble with sleep, you will have trouble with health. Any one who says, “Sleep like a baby, has never had one.” Joe Burke
