This is an interesting article about the Vagus nerve which is also called the 10th cranial nerve. For me, I knew it was the switch that controlled the sympathetic to parasympathetic nervous systems but oh is it so much more. The function of the body is altogether beyond words, but here are a few that can help us to know a little more.
What I read this weekend: I am an Alan Furst fan. I have been for a few years. Once introduced to his writing, I read all of his historical fiction spy novels. He has the ability to put you in the scene of pre WWII Europe and it’s easy to get the feel of the what it was like to live in Nazi-occupied Europe. He is a the master tradecraft novelist. We’ve waited for about 3 years for his newest book, “Under Occupation.” Well worth the wait!
